Rich and Misty (and kids) were so nice to come visit us! It is a long drive and not easy to do with little kids. We were so grateful they came! Brooklyn was so excited for Sophia to come and asked me every day for 2 weeks if that day was the day they were coming. They got to our house around 7 o'clock Wednesday night (March 23rd) and stayed until Sunday.
I had lots of things planned for us to do and we got to do most of them. Thursday morning we headed to the Children's museum. I have a pass that gets 6 in for free and had been saving my 2 guest passes for when they came. We all got in for free. It was really crowded, unfortunately, because there were several buses of elementary school kids there, but we still had fun. Brooklyn and Jake loved showing Max and Sophia their favorite things to do.
Swimming - it was a little chilly, but that didn't seem to phase the kids at all. We played a lot in the hot tub too. Rich is the best uncle and is always willing to play with the kids. B and J were loving jumping into that tube he is holding.
Spring training game - We went on Friday afternoon. John was able to come because he had the day off for good Friday. It was pretty crowded, but we were able to find a good spot on the grass. Overall, the kids were really good and we lasted until the 7th inning stretch.
Rich took these pictures of the kids playing in the backyard. He cut up a lemon for them to try...I love their faces..
We did Easter together which was so fun. We decided to do it Saturday morning (the kids had no idea) instead of Sunday because they would be leaving that morning and we also have 9 o'clock church. I thought we'd all be able to enjoy it more if we did in Saturday and had nothing to rush off too. Everyone was excited and pleased with their basket.
After the kids did their baskets and we got dressed and ready, we headed to Midwestern for their annual Easter activities. This is one of my favorite things that Midwestern does (that and the Halloween one). We stopped to sit on the Easter bunny's lap first since the line gets so long so fast. We were one of the first ones there and didn't have to wait. I was surprised that Remmy didn't cry. I think it helped that she was in the middle between Jake and Brooklyn.
Next we headed to the grass area where Jake, Remmy, and Max's Easter egg hunt was. They put a ton of eggs out of this grass area and when they say go all the kids (in a certain age group) run out and get as many as they can. It lasts about 15 seconds because there are so many kids.
Brooklyn and Sophia's hunt was next. They both knew exactly what to do and sprinted to every egg they could get their hands on. And came out with plenty of eggs.
We sat on the grass with some friends while the kids went through their eggs. The older kids also played on the bounce houses and we took our sweet time there. The weather was perfect and so nice to be outside.
That afternoon Sophia, Brooklyn, and Jake dyed Easter eggs. My friend Morgan told me to use cookie sheets to help with the mess - genius idea. They did a great job dying the eggs and had fun.
Saturday night we drove to the temple that is 5 minutes away from us. We went to Thunderbird mountain which is just across the street and walked along the trail. The weather was once again perfect and the kids had a great time running around.

I thought this picture was cute of the three girls, except for the stranger in the background.
I think this picture is so cute of Misty and Kate. One of many reasons I was so glad they came to visit was so they could meet Kate. It makes me sad to think that the rest of our family won't meet her until she's over 3 months old.

1 month old - I love her so much. I couldn't ask for a better baby.

Remmy was pretty proud of what she got

How fun! It is so fun to watch your kids play with their cousins. Looks like you did a lot of fun things together. Cute cute kids. Visitors are the best.
