Weekend Review - including the Dirty Dash

We had a fun weekend.

Friday after work we headed up to Park City and met our friends Drew and Marin at the Alpine slide.  John rode the Alpine Coaster with them while I fed Brooklyn and waited at the bottom.  He loved it and said it was much better than the Alpine slide.  We need to go back soon so I can do it too.  After we walked around for awhile and stopped and got some treats at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  We shared an apple pie caramel apple....mmmm....deelish!

Saturday morning we left Brooklyn with Rich and Misty and headed to Soldier Hollow to run the 10k Dirty Dash.  It was crazy....and so much fun.  Basically we ran 6 miles in the mud with obstacle courses every half mile or so.  There were 9 of us on our team, including our good friends Ryan and Mandy who had done the race before.  My brother Mike was sooo nice to come up and watch us and be our photographer.  He got some great shots of us at the beginning and end of the race.

The starting line.  They had to start people at different times because there were so many people.  Our starting time was 10:20.

The race and obstacles looked like this:

These next pictures are all of us running and jumping in the final mud pit near the finish line..

John and his friend Ryan dove in head first

And finally, Saturday night Jeannette, Misty, Meg, and I went to the General Relief Society broadcast together.  Afterwards Jeannette treated us all to Sweet Tomatoes.  It was so fun to have a night out with some of my favorite girls.

And that was our weekend.

don't leave your Sonic drink lyin' around...

at our house.

Or this little girl might get it and dump it all over herself :)

I left the room for one minute and came back and found her like this.  I think she was pretty proud of herself.

a little photo-shoot

One of my favorite things to do is take pictures of Brooklyn.
Although, I wish I was a photographer and actually good at taking pictures.
It is so fun having a pretty dang cute subject to shoot.

Lately I have had fun letting her crawl around outside while I take a million pictures of her.
These were the latest ones.  (there really are about a million - I included them all)

Enjoy!
(and p.s. - I made the skirt and matching bow...not sure that I like how the skirt turned out)

John joined us and Brooklyn was immediately interested in his food.
She will open her mouth, like she is in the second picture, when she sees other people eating.

8 months old

I love this girl so much.
She is 8 months old today.

I cannot get enough of her.
She makes me so happy.

My two best friends :)
