Sedona

Last week we spent one day in Sedona with friends.  Sedona is about an hour and a half away from us and is a beautiful place!  It felt like we were out of Arizona (it was 20 degrees cooler there) and surrounded by lots of mountain-like rocks, trees, a river, etc.  It was so fun just to drive there...and we had an even better time hiking and exploring.

We left around 7:30 in the morning and stayed until mid afternoon.  We made the mistake, even after being advised not to, and each took our jogging strollers.  Yes, big mistake...as you can see from the picture below!   We ended up ditching our strollers behind some trees about half mile in to the hike.  The kids (three 2-year olds) all did great walking and had fun exploring.  John, myself, and our friend Riley switched off carrying Jake.  We had brought our backpack to carry him in but left it in the car when we last minute decided to try our jogging stroller instead.

It was so pretty there..I kept looking up to see the tall trees, the beautiful rocks, and the clear sky.

Jake did so good...didn't make a peep the whole day.

the men - Jon, John, and Riley - all 2nd years now! (Jon and Riley are D.O. students)

I love this picture.  Jake just looks like he is a part of their family.

We stopped at this area where the river was low and stripped the kids down to undies/diapers and let them play.  The loved it, even though it was freezing!  We also got out our packed lunches and took a rest for awhile.

Brooklyn's turn..

We can't wait to go back again!
