Turkey Day

Thanksgiving started off with the annual Turkey Trot. Rich, Misty, my mom and dad, Matt Cowden, and I all did it this year. It was a little chilly but Rich and I both beat our times from last year, which we had trained hard to do! (John was down in Provo for a game of football with his friends).

At 1:00 we had our Thanksgiving meal with my family. We have such a large group now (which makes it so fun) that we have to do it at my parents ward.

After we ate we headed down to Orem to spend time with his family at his sister Heather's house. We visited, watched football, and ate some yummy pie.

We headed back up to Salt Lake that night and went to my sister's house. We got out the leftovers and ate AGAIN, visited with family, put a puzzle together, opened presents from my mom, and got out our Christmas blankets (always a tradition). I surprised John with his very own Christmas quilt! He even fell asleep on the couch with it.

It was such a great day and so fun to spend lots of time with family and friends.

  1. I love Thanksgiving time. It is the best to just eat and hang out with family. Looks like you guys had a ton of people and lots of fun!
